A faster and safer alternative to plasmid DNA

4basebio’s synthetic DNA technology allows for the highly scalable production of DNA for genetic medicine and vaccine programmes, with release of multi-gram GMP DNA batches in a matter of weeks rather than months.

Our synthesis process is fully enzymatic and cell free:
As there is no plasmid fermentation, there is no risk of contamination from endotoxins or host proteins. No plasmid is amplified in the process, avoiding bacterial sequences such as antibiotic resistance genes and eliminating the possibility of reverse packaging during AAV manufacture. Moreover, our technology enables the amplification of complex sequences, such as ITRs, or long, continuous poly-A tails, with high fidelity. 

We currently offer four highly customisable, application-specific DNA construct types, allowing bespoke DNA synthesis for mRNA, AAV or lentivirus production, gene editing and more.
