Modern slavery statement

4basebio PLC and its subsidiaries are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking violations in its own operations and supply chain. We have zero-tolerance towards slavery and require our supply chain to comply with our values. Due to the nature of our products and the sector in which we operate, we continue to believe that we are at low risk of exposure to slavery and human trafficking. We are not aware of any areas of our operations and supply chain likely to lead to breach of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (Act).
Introduction
4basebio PLC and its subsidiaries operate in the United Kingdom in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical sector. We work with a number of suppliers, who provide us with goods, services and raw materials.
Organisational structure
We are committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff, with our staff able to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves. Our recruitment and people management processes and policies are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.
Employment
Managing risk in our supply chain
We manage risk in our supply chain through our Supplier Management procedure and by evaluating the slavery and human trafficking risks through a mandatory questionnaire. Our procurement team has been trained in modern slavery awareness. We require business partners to ensure all work conducted for 4basebio is undertaken in accordance with all applicable laws.
We are not aware of any slavery or human trafficking taking place in our business or supply chain and we shall continue to apply appropriate risk-based due diligence processes to ensure compliance with the Act.
The statement was approved by the Board of 4basebio PLC on 8 December 2022.
